Road Trip

This past weekend I went on a Road Trip with my friend Heather. Her and her husband and their two daughters will be living in Ottowa Illinois. Her husband, Curt, started his job at PetSmart on Monday, so they went out to look at their apartment, move and unpack their boxes. Heather and the girls will be moving out there once Heather finds a job, right now she is working in South Sioux and living with her parents here in Wayne. I went out with them to help watch their youngest daughter, Kellan, and to ride back to Wayne with Heather.

Ottowa is a really nice town, about 18,000 people, they have a really cute downtown and two rivers, the Fox River that meets up with the Illinois River. Ottowa is about 1 1/2 hour from Chicago.

This is Kellan
Their trailer full of all their boxes -- That's Curt
Curts Dad, and his younger brother also drove out with us,
so the 3 guys basically moved in all the boxes and furniture.
On our way home on Monday we made a few stops along the way. We first stopped at the Worlds Largest Truckstop in Davenport, IA -- Iowa 80. It wasn't as exciting as I was expecting, but it was pretty big. We made a few other stops along the way and got to Wayne around 7 p.m.

The one thing that was funny once we got into Illinois was these road construction signs. Heather and I just found them really funny!
