This one's for Nick....

"So I Married An Axe Murderer" is one of Nick's all time favorite movies. And one of Mike Meyers bests!! Nick knows this entire movie word for word.

This is one of our favorite parts in the movie. For those of you who haven't seen this movie you must see this just once! When reading Stuart's lines imagine him with a Scottish accent, and he is referring to his youngest son sitting infront of the television set.

Stuart Mackenzie: Look at the size of that boy's heed.
Tony Giardino: Shhh!
Stuart Mackenzie: I'm not kidding, it's like an orange on a toothpick.
Tony Giardino: Shhh, you're going to give the boy a complex.
Stuart Mackenzie: Well, that's a huge noggin. That's a virtual planetoid.
Tony Giardino: Shh!
Stuart Mackenzie: Has it's own weather system.
Tony Giardino: Sh, sh, shh.
Stuart Mackenzie: HEAD! MOVE!

We also like this part in the movie as well.

Funny.....

We have a website at work that we use to search for clip art. I was doing a search for "White Sale" for an ad I'm working on. As I'm searching through all the clip art (200+), looking for some kind of frame or header to use in this ad, I come across this......
Some sort of bag.....and what was even more funny or surprising, was the fact that it has MY name on it. No other name, but mine! No other clip art that was on this page and any names on it. So, could be some sort of a sign??? I wasn't particularly have a good morning, so maybe this means I'm going to have a better afternoon. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Jell-O, Jell-O and more Jell-O

Because of my wisdom teeth being pulled,
this is what I'm forced to eat for the next week, maybe longer.

Tonight I tried to eat spaghetti (sauce and macaroni noodles)...I didn't get too far because I was again afraid to chew and it just plain hurt. So......looks like I'm sticking to Jell-O, Pudding, Mashed Potatoes and drinkable soups. Unless you absolutely have to have your wisdom teeth pulled, I strongly encourage this statement -- "If it aint broke, don't fix it". This has been a non-enjoyable experience, it started off good, but has gone down hill. I only worked until 2:30 today, after a bad episode this morning of almost passing out. I think after 4 days of not doing anything and no appetite caught up with me when I actually had to roll out of bed at 7 a.m. I'm rinsing my mouth out with warm salt water 4 times a day. I'm not hungry for the things that I can eat and dream about the things I CAN'T eat. (Oh.....Fried Chicken.....Tacos......Pizza.....STEAK!!)

The only good thing to come of this is that I get to eat ice cream more often than I should, it's the only thing that makes my mouth feel good.

Toothless.......

Yesterday I had all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. I was very nervous going into this whole thing, this was the first time I've had any kind of surgery done -- never had an IV, never been put under.

I got into this room where they were going to be pulling my teeth, they covered me with a long blanket, strapped me to the chair, hooked me up to heart monitors, a blood pressure cuff, put a mask over my nose with some oxygen and then the lady comes into put in my IV. I think I was more nervous about that, I don't particularly like needles. IV went it well, thank god, and then the drugs started flowing. As she's putting all these tools on top of me, she kept asking me questions -- When I was going to Taiwan, for how long, why I was going, asked me where I worked and what I did, kept asking if I was starting to relax, I said not yet, then she assured me I would and that I'm getting some good stuff. Then the room started spinning and I said "Okay, now I'm starting to feel relaxed" And the next thing I knew I was waking up.

That I think was more scary than anything, and I'm not sure why, maybe because it was all over and now the real pain is going to start. I kept hearing the dentist and the nurses talking, the one nurse kept telling me to open my eyes....I was trying, but it was so bright and I was tired, and I was having a hard time taking breaths and shivering constantly. Then my mom came in the room and then the tears began to flow, again, not sure why. Not feeling any pain and not being able to feel my lower half of my face was pretty weird. Someone could have sucker punched me and I wouldn't have even known it!!

Around 6:30 I was able to talk normally and feeling pretty good. I hadn't eaten anything all day, it took me about 2 hours to get down a small malt. I'm still afraid to chew anything, even soft stuff. Even today I'm a little afraid to eat anything. My jaw is really sore and tight, but other than that I'm not in that much pain. I'm planning to just veg on the couch and watch movies.

These are some flowers that I received from Nick and his parents. And I couldn't resist playing with them in Photoshop. Flowers always make you feel better!
